- Abstract
Extramammary Paget's disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that primarily affects the genital region. The prognosis for patients with metastatic EMPD is poor, and there is currently no standard treatment due to the rarity of the disease. A retrospective analysis of 57 patients with stage IV EMPD was conducted to identify two subpopulations with different prognoses. The study found that patients with internal organ metastases had significantly shorter overall survival compared to those without internal organ metastases. This information may help guide treatment decisions and manage patient expectations.
