- Abstract
The diabetes type 1 is one of the commonest chronic diseases in childhood. Its incidence has been increasing steadily worldwide over past decades. In 2017. year there were more than 1.100.000 children living with diabetes type 1. Studies of epidemiology of the type 1 diabetes are aimed at the identification of causal factors of the disease. Genetic risk cannot afford explanation for dramatic changes in incidence. Moreover, the rising tide of incidence has been accompanied by lover percent of the great HLA risk for diabetes type 1, implying a less important role for predisposition but a simplifying environmental. What the connection is, between the risk factors, especially the environmental ones, and diabetes type 1 is still a question for new research and studies. The elucidation of the complex interaction between genetic and environmental factors could help to prevent disease and cure child with diabetes type 1.
