- Abstract
The article examines the contribution of decision analysis in understanding individual decision-making in prenatal screening and invasive testing. According to the author, pregnant women's preferences and decision-making must be explored further. The author claims decision analysis is suited to prenatal screening because of the probabilistic nature of the results of screening, and such analysis can aid to provide insight into the difficult decisions confronted by pregnant women.
