- Abstract
This article studies the occurrence of the freshwater hoplonemertean Prostoma graecense in Tasmania. Reports of freshwater nemerteans show a very scattered distribution, with no direct evidence as to their means of dispersal. It is suggested that Prostoma was introduced to Tasmania with freshwater plants, subsequently spreading from gardens to local streams on the feet of water birds.
