- Title
Accounting Ethics Courses: A Professional Necessity.
- Authors
Bean, David F.; Bernardi, Richard A.
- Abstract
The article discusses the suggestion of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy to require ethics courses in accounting education in the U.S. There are only few universities and business schools that require an ethics course as part of liberal arts education of students. The proponent of the neoclassical economics paradigm opposes the request for increased ethics education. A discipline-specific ethics course is important to the education of accounting students.
