- Abstract
Thermal desorption is simply a technique for analyzing the constituents evolving from the sample over a given temperature range. Using heat to desorb a group of sample constituents greatly simplifies the analytical protocol. There is no sample preparation step, per se'- the sample is analyzed as is. In this article we will present special performances and advantages of this technique in dealing with cases encountered in forensic chemistry laboratories and our concerns for establish working methods for various types of samples using this modern technique.
