- Abstract
The article focuses on the case involving BS Mount Sophia Pte. Ltd. v. Join-Aim Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. It offers overview of the background of the case in which BS Mount Sophia was delayed in completing construction works, which prompted Join-Aim to make a partial call on the on-demand performance bond as it believes that it was entitled to liquidated damages. It also mentions the court's decision of the issue, which illustrate that an obligator has uphill task in meeting obligations.
