- Abstract
The author presents his insights into the relevance of cultural studies (CS) in society despite perception that political activism and social issue advocacies have ended. He believes that despite an end to the Occupy protest movement, the end of the Iraq War and the end of Western democracies, CS will flourish because of new issues that affect individual consumers will emerge. He opines that another Occupy movement is in the offing and as a scholar of CS, he will continue teaching students.
