- Abstract
In the period from 1765 to 1775, Jiang Shiquan (1725 - 1785) reached the peak of his opera creation. He moved from one academy to another in the areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and created five operas during this period. The formation of Jiang Shiquan's creating peak in his mid-age has some objective causes besides his early frustrations and sufferings, and his complicated mentality after returning to the south. The popularity of opera reviews, the frequent performance activities and opera writers' flocking together in the areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces have formed the objective cultural environment. And all of these have influenced Jiang's opera creation a lot.
