- Abstract
The article reports on the study which aims to provide new data to guide the management of patients with Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The study conducted in the Department of Medicine, Lady Hardinge Medical College, found that NAFLD and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) were higher in patients with more than one risk factor than patients with single risk factors. It observes that most patients with NASH had mild elevation of Serum Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) and Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) level within two times of normal.
