- Abstract
The article focuses on the production of biodegradable tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), polylactide (PLA), and wood flour (WF) nanocomposites using a sol-gel process. The mechanical and thermal properties of hybrids were examined with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Instron mechanical tester, and thermogravimetry analyzer (TGA). It adds that the developed biodegradable nanocomposites can provide a plateau tensile strength at break when the WF content is up to 50 wt %.
