- Abstract
The article presents a study on the impact of functionalized multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCTs) on the mechanical properties of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fibers. Researchers created master batches with four types of MWCTs through the mixing of MWCTs with PEG. After conducting scanning electron microscopy, they found that the MWCTs had a good dispersion in PET. They observed that fibers from PET/master batch B made by acid treatment had the highest improvement of mechanical properties.
