The article reports on the sightings of the Cape Girdled Lizards, Cordylus cordylus, as well as other different reptiles like the Angulate Tortoise and the Cape Skinks, Trachylepis capensis at the burnt area of the western portion of the DeHoop Nature Reserve in the Western Cape, South Africa. From January 2007 when the controlled burning of the area was undertaken by the management up to December 2008, the said reptiles were continuously seen as roaming the area.
