- Abstract
Despite his short life, Nubar Tekyay is considered a virtuoso in Turkish music violin performance, thanks to his violin technique. He was the conductor of Nubar Tekyay, Safiye Ayla and Müzeyyen Senar, who recorded on TRT and private records. He played the violin many times in Atatürk's presence and took his surname from Atatürk. Since there is not much information about Nubar Tekyay in the sources, a special research was conducted. Armenian newspapers such as Jamanak, Marmara and Agos were scanned about the person, and the news found were translated and recorded in the article. This does not take into account the Nubar Tekyay interpretation of Ferahfeza Saz semai, whose biography is written by Nubar Tekyay and belongs to his father, Udi Arşak Çömlekçiyan. The violin measurements and decorations used in the content of the work were analyzed. The piece used was notated with the performance by Nubar Tekyay and Ercüment Batanay. The types of details that Nubar Tekyay used in the work, such as multiplications before and after their value, double hits, triple hits, working notes, filling notes, glissando, grupetto, trill, have been identified. This qualitative research method was used. Exer analysis according to rhythm and melody directions. According to what has been determined, it has been suggested to continue the Turkish music violin style by listening to the performances of Nubar Tekyay, who is considered to be a virtuoso in Turkish music violin player.
