- Abstract
The article discusses research conducted to investigate trends in occupation-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in Texas and the United States between 2003 and 2009. Researchers evaluated data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses. They found that while total occupational MSDs declined in the U.S. and Texas between 2003 and 2009, MSDs continue to represent a significant proportion of nonfatal occupational injuries and illnesses.
