- Abstract
Social appropriation is understood as a process in which citizens (men and women) and communities intentionally and consciously use technological tools, understanding their function from a conceptual and practical point of view, perceiving them as useful for their educational, labor, and social development. The purpose of this review article is to analyze the role of social appropriation of technology in times of COVID-19. The review was carried out from the field of education, teleworking and from the social field of people during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. The research was based on the interpretive paradigm, the type of research was documentary, the applied method was the content analysis of published scientific documents in relation to the study categories. Final reflection: despite the benefits of information and communication technologies (ICT) and their appropriation in times of pandemic in education and work, it is inevitable to think about the negative consequences they generate for young people if they are not adequately supervised by parents and representatives.
