- Abstract
The article focuses on brief history of regularly practiced debt collection tactics and entanglement in Missouri courts, and how the industry garnishes wages after obtaining default judgments. It mentions close connection between Missouri's rule on sanctions, Rule 55.03, and the federal rule for sanctions, Rule 11.2. It also mentions remedies for abusive practices under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and cause of action against a debt collector.
