- Abstract
This essay concerns the September 11,2001 terrorists attacks in the U.S. The author categorizes terrors and terrorism, defines various types of terrorists acts and lays out the criteria on which the typology is based. He distinguishes several fundamental types of political terrorism. He outlines the parameters to recognize legitimate violence by a resistance organization. He also discusses the forms of vindicatory justice and its three level of sanctions and points out Islamic terrorism, violence and modernity.
