- Abstract
Genetic diversity of 14 tigernuts collected from different geographical regions was investigated with SRAP molecular markers. The results showed that total 375 bands were amplified by 38 primer pairs, and 306 of these bands were polymorphic. The average polymorphic bands detected per primer pair were 8.1. Clustering with UPGMA method revealed that the genetic distance ranged from 0.09 to 0.72 with an average of 0.37. The largest genetic distance was 0.72,between accession No. 8 and No. 9. This research indicated that there were abundant genetic diversity among all 14 accessions.
