- Title
Nuclear Power's Lethal, Larcenous End Game.
- Authors
WASSERMAN, HARVEY
- Abstract
The article discusses the current state of nuclear power in the United States. It highlights that no new large atomic reactors are being constructed or ordered, and the last large light-water reactor, Vogtle Unit 4, faced significant delays and cost overruns. The article argues that nuclear power is not a viable solution for fighting climate change and that the US lacks the capacity to produce impactful new reactors. It also mentions the financial failures and safety concerns associated with nuclear power, as well as the potential of renewable energy sources like wind and solar power.
