- Abstract
An interview with Justin Rattner, chief technology officer of Intel Corp., is presented. When asked about the projects he has been involved with, he refers to the invention of a microprocessor with Ted Hoff in 1973. He claims that transistors are effective for operating on electronic charge in which alternatives are hard to compete. He believes that the production processor Larrabee will be Intel's first product with a performance of 10 to 100 times for a new era of applications.
