- Title
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS: EMPIRICAL FINDINGS FROM SME SERVICE FIRMS.
- Authors
Coviello, Nicole E.; Ghauri, Pervez N.; Martin, Kristina A-M.
- Abstract
International competitiveness is often assumed to be an objective measure of performance in foreign markets--a measure that applies across firms regardless of size or industrial context. To understand the issues surrounding international competitiveness more fully, Coviello, Ghauri, and Martin's research explores the international competitiveness measures used by experienced small and medium-sized enterprisies (SMEs) in the software and engineering consultancy sectors. The findings of their study are compared to earlier research focused on larger firms in the manufacturing and financial service industries.
