- Authors
Carnahan, Christi R.; Hume, Kara; Clarke, Laura; Borders, Christy
- Abstract
The article presents information on strategies for helping students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) independently transition from one educational activity to another. The authors note that this ability is a fundamental part of education for all students, however, for students with ASD it can be crucial to their future success in the community and in employment. The authors examine the intervention method implemented by one teacher that involved the use of structured work systems and discuss the effectiveness of the strategy.
