- Abstract
Effectively separating the charge carriers and well utilizing for photocatalysis are always a great challenge. We have obtained the SnS QDs/g-C3N4 nanosheets exhibiting the Z scheme electronic charge separation in the heterojunction via the ultrasonics technique. Crystalline structural analysis revealed the orthorhombic SnS and tetragonal g-C3N4 crystal systems formed in the nanocomposite. TEM images were clearly evidenced the ~ 5 nm sized SnS nanoparticles uniformly distributed on the surface of the g-C3N4 nanosheets. The UV–vis absorption spectroscopic studies confirmed the enhanced visible absorption in the g-C3N4 upon the loading of SnS nanoparticles, indicating the technological importance. We have also received enhanced efficiency in photocatalytic studies for the nanocomposite owing to their heterostructures.
