Title
Ireland: Steady growth ahead.
Abstract
The article provides an economic outlook in Ireland for 2006-2007. Output is expected to increase at a steady 5&3x0025; rate over the entire projection period. The proposal to repeal the Groceries Order is welcome, and deregulatory efforts should be broadened to other sheltered sectors, starting with the professions and network industries. Net exports are expected to taper off as rising unit labor costs hold back exports.
