- Title
Collective behaviour: When it pays to share decisions.
- Authors
Conradt, Larissa
- Abstract
The article offers information on a research carried out on collective behaviour by biologist Larissa Conradt from the University of Sussex. He studied the effect of sharing decision on larger shoals and saw that the accuracy of a decision usually increases with the number of decision makers. He also found that sharing decisions with others can help because decision makers pool their information together to eliminate individual errors so that the risk of making mistakes gets eliminated.
