- Abstract
An investigation of the completion of 360 class hours of training tasks for all teachers in the implementation of the "Rural Teacher Support Plan (2015-2020)" in Q County, Yunnan Province in the past five years shows that the rural teacher training is mainly based on online training, and the training content focuses on unity and universality. The main challenges are the formality of the online training, the lack of opportunities for rural teachers to go out for training, the delay in reimbursement of training travel expenses, and the lack of capacity of county training institutions. It is suggested that the level of the county education governance should be improved, and the system and financial guarantee for teacher training should be provided; that the construction of the county teacher education institutions and trainer teams should be strengthened, and the localization and pertinence of training content should be reinforced; that the demand survey should be conducted and the training curriculum system should be constructed based on the training needs; and that the management of the training process should be strengthened to ensure the effectiveness of online training.
