- Abstract
Urbanization has brought about a great change in the layout of education, and also challenged the development of female teachers in the schools in urban-rural joint areas. As a young female teacher who was bom in the countryside and has taught in a primary school in an urban-rural joint area after graduating from college for less than two years, Yao Li has experienced the “rootlessness” brought alxmt by the urbanization and the identity confusion between the “rural” and the “urban” , the accompanying loneliness and alienation; she has also experienced the “ transformation” process of the new teacher’s growth. From the “imitation” of classroom teaching to the “experience” of the work of the class teacher, it shows that she has pursued the self-reflection and self-growth. More importantly, the “awakening" of gender equality consciousness has brought her more self-affirmation and self-confidence, and made her clear al>out the goal of “ becoming an excellent and independent woman”, which has started her educational life to pursue the self-development and self-consciousness.
