- Abstract
This article considers painting inspired by poetry through the study of two authors: Anselm Kiefer and Robert Motherwell. The relationship between painting and poetry is presented through the differentiation of media, established as a metaphorical tension. It is painting born from the aesthetic experience of reading that causes a spark that gives rise to the creative seed. It is poetry that is transformed and converted into a new knowledge and it is launched to follow the movement in a continuous swing. I present different ways of approaching the works of these two painters by means of words in this study. Such an approach allows us to be overwhelmed by the emotion of the text as a creative beginning that gives rise to autonomous works, distanced from illustration. For the development of this study, we must try to experience these works first through emotion, before painting and before poetry, because this type of painting is best accessed by being in the position of spectator-participants.
