- Abstract
The article discusses the implementation of deregulatory policies in various industries in the U.S. by the federal government, including the crude oil, natural gas, and communication industries. It examines the effects of the deregulation of the trucking, airline and natural gas industries as examples. It cites the various legislation and agencies that were created to advance deregulation including the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) in trucking, as well as the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) and the Airline Deregulation Act in the aviation sector.
