- Title
PUBLIC TORT LIABILITY ADMINISTRATION BASIC CONFLICTS AND PROBLEMS.
- Authors
DAVID, LEON THOMAS
- Abstract
The article offers information on the liability of public agencies in torts in the U.S. It is said that the immunity of public agencies from suit, particularly in tort has denied justice to large groups of litigants. Claims have been denied upon the ground of this immunity. Legal equality of the sovereign and the subject is said to be the essence of just law. U.S. courts reveal considerable juristic sympathy for litigants who were denied claims against governmental agencies. Legislative action to remove limitations on litigations against administrative agencies is strongly resisted.
