- Abstract
A further contribution to gender and migration studies comes with the growing scholarly interest in the critical studies that examine LGBTQI+ migration through the prism of sexuality and queer perspectives. Anastasia Christou and Eleanore Kofman's book entitled I Gender and Migration i is an open-access short reader that critically reviews the evolution of gender and migration studies primarily in Europe. The study explores how the right to family reunification and formation has generated inequalities as migration policies are Europeanized in general; and with the restrictive family reunification policies (mostly implemented in northern countries) in particular.
