- Abstract
The article discusses the implications of regulatory reforms to the economic productivity in Sweden. The country has reformed its welfare state and institutions including deregulation of a wide range of product markets in early 1990 due to economic crisis. It is revealed that the reforms that were implemented during the 1990s are currently paying off in terms of productivity and growth of the gross domestic product. It is noted that the deregulation law has delivered a considerable productivity dividend in the country.
