- Abstract
The novel "The Book of Mirdad" written in English by the prominent Arab writer, Mîkhâîl Nu'ayma, conveys literary-philosophical, theological characteristics in the Humanistic perspective. In the novel, Islam and Christianity, Sufism and mysticism have been taken up in different aspects. The subjects such as the flood of Noah, the temporality of the world, the concept of "Self", the judgement day and the maturity of human-being have been taken up in the novel with the ideas of mystical thoughts of Islam and Christianity.
