The article discusses Greek inscriptions from Italy, IG XIV 954 and IG XIV 955, that addresses physical appearance of the objects and their vicissitudes in ancient and modern times, with respect to office-holder Romans from the late Republic or early Empire honoured by Sicilian cities.
