- Authors
Boyle, Joan
- Abstract
The article highlights the transmission of Buddhism peace tradition to several countries in Asia and North America. The realization of impermanence and the realization that dissatisfaction is self-inflicted are among the categories of the Buddhist teaching in India that are based on Samsara and Reincarnation. Chinese Buddhism views birth as freedom that calls for the fulfillment of discontent and separation of excessive individuality. The nonviolence approach of Buddhism continue to survive because of its focus on the emptiness and the temporary nature of life.
