- Abstract
The article discusses leadership changes at U.S. regulatory institutions in 2006, particularly at the Securities and Exchange Commission and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Ben Bernanke replaced Alan Greenspan as the chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. In June 2005, William Donaldson resigned as Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission and he was replaced by Christopher Cox. Allan Beller stepped down from being Director of Corporation Finance. Donald Nicolaisen resigned in October 2005 from being Chief Accountant. Chairman Cox is replacing Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Chairman William McDonough.
