- Authors
Fowler, A. M.
- Abstract
The article discusses about the experiment made using Kauri tree rings for reconstructing the history of past El Niño-Southern Oscillation events. A test was conducted using partitioning and graphical analyses to obtain information from the tree rings. According to the article, among the results gathered, shows that ENSO robustness increased in the 20th century, is characterized by constant 55-80 cyclicity, reached a pre-20th century peak during the mid-18th century and was at its weakest near the start of the 19th century.
