- Abstract
The article reports that thousands of people were made redundant due to diminishing hotel and tourism revenue in Kenya due to political conflicts and weak tourism influx according to KTN television station. The station also imparts that the financial crisis and the 2007 post-election hostility have led to the closure of several hotels, villas and cottages which prompted the redundancies of many employees. It notes that tourism is the third highest grossing economic resource of Kenya.
