- Abstract
This article has the purpose to discuss how big companies use social media as a space of action for the brand towards the consumer, taking into account the versatility and dynamism that distinguish them. Therefore, it was conducted a bibliographic research, aiming to define a general overview of the subject, as well as document research, seeking to analyze these performances through posts of the companies during two months in their institutional pages on Facebook and on Twitter, and correlate them with the theoretical framework adopted. Ultimately, it was observed that the studied companies have few strategies structured and conditioned to the real purpose of these media.
