- Abstract
The article analyzes the depiction of artificial intelligence (AI), emotional intelligence (EI) and identity in Alex Garland's science fiction film "Ex Machina." Focus is given on Turing test as a method for proving AI and EI sentience and portrayal of user-machine interface and human/machine composite network. The author discusses the film's demonstrations of AI as the closest working model to organic human intelligence and of EI as the ability to monitor emotions to guide logical thinking.
