The article presents a case study of a 13-year-old girl presented to the dermatology clinic with generalized asymptomatic skin scaling since early childhood. Topics include histopathological examination revealing a cleft beneath the stratum corneum with no hyperkeratosis, acanthosis or acantholysis; and peeling skin syndrome (PSS) comprising of a group of genodermatoses characterized by shedding of the outer epidermis.
