- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the use of anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in patients with psoriasis and its effect on oral colonization by Candida yeast. Patients with psoriasis vulgaris from a hospital ward were selected for further assessment of their oral hygiene habits. It is speculated that patients with low immunity were more susceptible to fungal infections despite prescription of anti-tumor necrosis factor-α.
