CREATING AN IMPRESSION.
- Abstract
The article examines the activities of Nick Mitzevich, the director of the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) art museum in Adelaide, South Australia, in early 2014. These included his acquisition at auction of the painting "Prairie à Éragny," by French pointillist Camille Pissarro, the organization of a biennial exhibition of 21st-century Australian art and of an exhibition of Japanese netsuke carvings at AGSA, and speculations that he might succeed the retiring director of the National Gallery of Australia, Ron Radford.
