- Abstract
The article presents a case report of undiagnosed type II odontoid fracture in a male patient who presented with neck pain and cervical spine trauma. The medical history of the patient is presented. Type II odontoid fractures is associated with neurologic injury and presents challenge in the geriatric population. Atlantoaxial fracture-dislocations with posterior displacement are more serious injuries and are more commonly associated with neurologic deficits.
