- Abstract
The article examines which between the laws in Mexico and the U.S. should be observed in protecting the rights of Mexican migrant workers in transit. A background on the rights of migrant workers under U.S. federal and state law is provided in which deficiencies including inadequate enforcement by government agencies have been cited. It also discusses how migrant workers tend to shoulder relocation costs which include transportation costs as well as visa and recruitment fees and not get fully reimbursed.
