- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the depictions of two plants such as palm branch and citron in the Jewish art and early Christian mosaics in Israel. She says that many plants of different species are depicted in the Byzantine pavement mosaics of Israel and Jordan. She states that palm branch and citron are among the Four Species of plants which are taken in hand during the Sukkot festival that are represented by Jewish art.
