- Abstract
The article reports on the Republic of Costa Rica and its geodetic properties. Costa Rica is bordered by Nicaragua and by Panama. Its coasts ends on the Caribbean sea and on the North Pacific Ocean with a total of 1,290 kilometers. It has a tropical climate with a dry season from December to April. It is consisted of coastal plains and mountains forming the Cordillera de Talamanca. Its chains of quadrilaterals are observed by the Instituto Geográfico de Costa Rica (IGCR) and by the Inter American Geodetic Survey (IAGS).
