- Title
D. H. Lawrence's The Fox: A Question of Species.
- Authors
Doherty, Gerald
- Abstract
In this article, the author focuses on range and intensity of the conflicts generated over generations since publication of D. H. Lawrence's The Fox in 1922. He mentions about how critics have carefully frayed the central discourses in The Fox-gender, class, sexual, familial-that compete for power and authority, in the process challenging and destabilizing each other. He further highlights the sheer contradictoriness of the literary, psychological and ethical claims made by critics.
