This article provides a summary of recent developments in the chemical engineering industry. Asahi Kasei has opened a hydrogen pilot plant in Japan, aiming to develop large-scale electrolysis systems. BASF plans to expand its additive production capacity in China. Climeworks has opened the world's largest direct-air CO2 capture plant in Iceland. Wacker Chemie is expanding its production capacity for biopharmaceuticals in San Diego. Bp's Archaea Energy has started up a modular renewable natural gas plant in Kansas. DOMO Chemicals has opened a new polyamide production plant in China. Carbios has broken ground on the world's first biorecycling plant for PET. Syensqo is building North America's largest PVDF production plant in Georgia.
